Haystack Rock - Oregon

Off the shores of Canon Beach, is an old rock formation called Haystack Rock. This magnificent formation a result of a long ago volcano, became a new theme for us while visiting and painting the rocky beach and sea. Rough waters, constant storms and high winds, along side serene sunrises and glorious sunsets visit this ancient monolith and give life a full dimension. The ideas of endurance, presence, and a magnificent joy were all wrapped up in this incredible symbol.
